Why is Jeff so proud of this sink at Polynesian Shores? This sink allows for the wash water generated on the property to be disposed of via the County’s sanitary sewer system, rather than letting it flow over the parking lot and paved areas and enter the storm drains to be carried to the ocean.

A water transport system at the Mahinahina Beach built to manage the large volume of runoff that goes through the property, not just from within the property, but mauka. In response to this challenge, Mahinahina Beach is in the process of installing a filtration system for the drains on its property.
